This study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis that documents the economic impact in South Carolina and, as part of the NSF Innovations Engine program submission, the broader two-state Carolinas region that would likely arise from specific future investments in quantum technologies. The study begins with a brief background describing the major industry drivers of South Carolina’s economy and how these industries could be major beneficiaries of quantum technologies. Section III then describes the economic impact methodology used in this report to estimate the impact of quantum technologies on South Carolina. Section IV details the main results of this analysis, which is followed by Section V that offers a brief conclusion.
