The United Nations has declared 2025 the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (#IYQ25). In support of this initiative, SC Quantum developed the International Quantum Circuit (#IQC25) with partner organizations to raise quantum technology's profile and build community around this emerging field.

PQHack is an hackathon aimed at the quantum computing community in Portugal. Whether you are a quantum physics student or a coding enthusiast curious about quantum computers, it is a unique event to learn about the exciting possibilities offered by the quantum world!
The 2025 edition was an in-person event on the 8th and 9th of February, hosted by the University of Porto in collaboration with Pasqal and the University of Coimbra.
PQHack was officially part of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology celebrations, organized in Portugal by Núcleo CiTeQ. Furtheremore, PQHack is integrated in the International Quantum Circuit, an international collaboration between hackathons culminating in QuantathonV2, a circuit championship hackathon in Columbia, South Carolina in the Fall of 2025.
