New quantum technology job announcements increased month/month in August, both globally and in the North American region, while the European region experienced a decline after a small increase in July.
Globally, the number of new job postings increased by an insignificant 1.1% after numerous months in 2024 indicating a decrease, month over month. For North America, the flash preliminary data for August indicates a meaningful increase of 19.6% in the number of new jobs, when compared to July. The European region underwent a meaningful decrease of 9.5%* fewer new job postings in August relative to the July level.
* The month of August in many parts of Europe is a high holiday period, so a substantial reduction in the number of new job activities is expected.
